Manufacturers
of very precise internal "Backing Assemblies" used
in Sendzimir cold rolling strip mills. In order to maintain complete in-plant control of their rolls, AJAX was contacted to design & install the deepest set of high speed furnaces claimed to be in existance today. The line consists of four electric furnaces operating at temperatures from 350°F to 2,350°F, that are capable of handling work pieces up to 12" dia. x 108" long.

Manufacturers of
gardening equipment with a need for blade balancing. An AJAX austempering line, assisted by an overhead closed loop hoist and continuous contamination removal, resulted in a two man operation that produced 1,000 lbs. of blades per hour, virtually eliminated distortion produced balancing problems, and maintained a hardness within the range of Rç 42-46.
